Over
4,000 years old, Feng Shui is the ancient Chinese art of promoting
health, wealth, and happiness. It is a science of harnessing positive
energy, or "chi", from the environment.
Chi is sometimes
described as the cosmic breath, or as the vital principle. It is
the essence of the principles of heaven and earth, of time and space,
and therefore of all relative phenomena, it is the force of change
and transformation. Man has started living in confined spaces and
has forgotten the power of this energy that flows through every
thing.
Chi is displayed
in the circling of the heavens, the seasons and weather patterns,
the changes in our bodies, emotions, and thoughts, and the changes
of our affairs and fortunes. Everything breaths and moves in accord
with it.
As Chi is the
cosmic breath, the Cosmos, or Universe, is that which breathes.
This cosmic breath courses through time, space, heaven and earth.
It is now a
widely accepted notion that the 'spirit' or atmosphere of a place
has an effect on our well-being.
Styles and schools
of feng shui used by me.
The Four
styles used by me are the:
- Form School
- Eight House
Method
- Flying Star
School
- 9 Star Ki
Method
The basic principles
of all schools is of how energy moves, Yin and Yang, the Five Elements
and Eight Trigrams.
The Compass
determines the directions in a home or room. The influence of specific
features are assessed on the basis of their direction from the middle
of the room. Nine Ki astrology is used to understand the influence
of the timing and direction of moving home and the ideal time to
make changes. The charts of the occupants also have an effect.
In the Eight
House Method the front door of the house and its compass directions
determine the nature of the eight segments within the building.
Using the 9 Ki charts the suitability of each segment for each individual
is determined.
The Flying Star
( Time Dimension) method uses a compass bearing of the front door
of the building to orientate its own birth chart, found from the
construction date or the date when it was refurbished or extended.
The effect of the building's features and surroundings on the birth
chart are assessed, and likely problems for the coming years or
months anticipated. This type of feng shui addresses the changes
health, wealth and luck over time. This is a very advanced method,
adding the vital dynamics of the time factor. Making use of the
good periods and avoiding the bad is the art of Flying Star Feng
Shui.
